Has been successfully used for getting on the potty, reaching the sink to wash hands, and I actually also use it in the shower so he can sit on it and I can wash my hair :). Use it on spanish tile, bathroom rug, and tile in shower, and on all surfaces this stool proves to be non-skid. It's very light-weight, which I like, but I also think it contributes to the fact that this stool may, in some circumstances, tip. I have had very few instances of this, and it was always a bit of a tip, nothing big. Just make sure your child doesn't goof around on it, or use it as a toy. It is not one of the tallest stools so when we moved into a new house with a higher pedestal sink, it was barely tall enough.
